Accessing documents via Chrome, Firefox and Safari

If you are having problems opening documents from the School of Education repository via Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari please follow the steps below.

If you have access to Internet Explorer or Microsft Edge documents should open without any additional steps.

If after following the steps below you are still having problems accessing materials please contact the Partnership Office: educationplacements@brighton.ac.uk

Google Chrome

If when trying to access a document in Google Chrome you see the message below:

  • Click on the advanced button
  • Press the proceed link as in the image below and the document should open; if it doesn’t please refresh the screenimage of the second screen in Google Chrome

Firefox

If when trying to access a document in Firefox you see the message below:

  • Click on the Enable TLS 1.0 and 1.1 button
  • the document should then open; if it doesn’t please refresh the screen

Safari

If when trying to access a document using Safari you see the following message:

  • click on the Show Details button and you will then see the message below:

  • click on the ‘visit this website’ link in the bottom sentence and the document should open; if it doesn’t please refresh the screen.
