Students aged 12-13 from schools in the Brighton area are taking part in mathematics masterclasses at the University of Brighton.
Dr Paul Harris, Reader in applied mathematics and Senior Lecturer Steve Kilgallon, both from the School of Computing, Engineering and Mathematics, have organised the Saturday morning classes in collaboration with the Royal Institution (RI) and Sussex branch of the Mathematical Association. As part of the 2018 Brighton Science Festival, Brighton Maths Jam are hosting a day of mathematical discovery and exploration.
Morning – a chance to explore a myriad of real and virtual puzzles, mathematical conundrums and an exhibition of artistic interpretations*
