Having recorded my footage I have collected a lot of stills from the footage. This allows me to break down the video by shots, scenes and looks. The idea of the stills allows me to capture specific shots and looks that I really like. I intend to use these in my sketchbook to be able to detail the research that has been put into each outfit and props. This allows a clear understanding of why I have chosen certain pieces and to describe what scenes I have chosen and their meanings.
Look1: The Medicine
In this scene I have tried to recreate the classic North Korean school girl look. With a white blouse, navy skirt and red shoes. Extra’s such as the red scarf and flower in the hair create a clear reflection to the extract look I am trying to recreate. In this scene I was inspired by a painting done by Sun Mu, in this painting he features a young school girl drinking cola, in order to recreate the painting, I had to style it appropriate to Sun Mu’s painting but add a fashionable aspect to it. To make this look I decided to go for a decorative sleeve blouse and statement boots.
