Book for a mock assessment centre!

Dear all,

Enterprise Rent-a-Car is coming to Mithras House to hold a mock assessment centre on Wednesday 27th November, 1 till 3pm.

Enterprise Rent-a-Car was voted Graduate Employer of the Year at the 2016 TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment awards – the largest student-driven graduate recruitment awards in Europe.

This is a great opportunity to learn how to succeed at an assessment centre! Feedback on Enterprise’s previous sessions has been very good.

If you would like to attend, please send me an email at l.rush@brighton.ac.uk

Thank you!

The Language of Skills

Thank you to those who attended my cover letter workshop yesterday.

Amongst other things, we discussed how to talk about your skills in a cover letter.

Here is a document which might give you some further thoughts about the language you use when discussing these:

I hope it helps.

If you need further help, please book an appointment with me via JobTeaser.

Finding Placements on JobTeaser

Can I just help you search for suitable placement roles on JobTeaser? Some of this is not intuitive!

Here is my guide:

  • Click ‘Jobs’ on the top toolbar
  • On the toolbar below, click ‘contracts’ and ‘Internship’ not ‘Work Placement or Sandwich Placement’
  • Choose what type of role that you want under ‘job Category’ on the same toolbar
  • Below left, have the button ‘Exclusive to our students and Alumni’ set on the right hand side

You should then find lots of opportunities.

Hope this helps!
