Goodbye and good luck to our final years!

June is both a happy and a sad month – sad to say good bye to our final years but also glad to see them launch themselves into their future lives.

Please forgive me if I miss you off my list but, of those who did a placement year, I will especially remember Patrick, Vels, Lucie, Freya, Tegh, Josh, and Jade. O, and Paige!

Paige did her HR placement at Discovery and is about to start her post-university career. You all made it worthwhile for us in the Placements Office but Paige made it worthwhile for me. Very best of luck, Paige!

We wish you all good luck and good bye!!!

Congratulations! We in the Employability Hub salute you!

Local Companies Placement Fair a great Success!

Thank you to those companies and students who attended our inaugural Local Companies Placements Fair. We had about 60 students attend and 6 local companies. It was a great success!

The local companies that I spoke to afterwards (House of Hud, Graduate Recruitment Bureau and Crafted Atom) were very impressed with the quality of students that attended. Well done!

I know that lots of you gave your CVs to companies. I am sure that many of you will be contacted by those companies.

There are still lots of vacancies with House of Hud, Graduate Recruitment Bureau and Crafted Atom. Search on JobTeaser.

Thanks again for attending a great event!

Placements Fair featuring Local Companies

This year, we have a new event – a Placements Fair for local companies only.

It will be in Mithras Canteen, 5-7pm, this Thursday (15th February). You do not have to be at the event for the whole two hours!

The companies attending include:

  • Crafted Atom
  • House of Hud
  • Graduate Recruitment Bureau
  • Rullion
  • West Control Solutions
  • Crunch Accounting

Check out these companies’ vacancies on JobTeaser. Some will be accepting CVs at the event.

There will be more attractions such as:

  • JobTeaser will have a photo booth to take portraits suitable for your JobTeaser and LinkedIn profiles
  • Placement staff and Placement Mentors will be available to give general placements advice

This is going to be a great opportunity to apply to companies and to increase your knowledge regarding placements.

See you on Thursday!
