Amazon Virtual Events Series

Dear all,

Amazon are inviting everyone to attend a series of virtual events in the coming weeks.

The series will consist of a number of sessions, hosted virtually by groups of Amazonians (who are all working remotely). Employees will share tips and skills to help you get through these unprecedented times, whether that be completing university assignments virtually or having virtual interviews. Each session is different, so you are welcome to join as many sessions as you would like.

Business as Usual despite closure

Dear all,

The Nike Internships, based in Hilversum, near Amsterdam, are now available.

The session will be led by BBS student Molly, who worked on placement in HR for Nike. She is brilliant and very, very knowledgeable. She will be taking you through some do’s and don’ts to make sure your application has the highest chance of success!

The masterclass is next Tuesday (17th) at 11am.

Placement Drop-in Session

The Employability Hub is holding a session to support those who are looking for a placement for 2020-21 as part of their course at the Business School. The session will start at 10am for an hour on Wednesday 11th March in room 150.

If you are unsure of your next steps, need help with your CV, cover letters, questions about assessment centres and/or interview please come along for further help and advice.

Book for ‘Using Mind Maps to prepare for Interviews’

Dear all,

Never come to an employability event before? Then, come to this one!

Ace that interview with mind maps. Mind maps are really easy to use and can be a great way to prepare for many different types of interview.

The workshop is tomorrow, (Thursday 23rd January), at 11am in Mithras House.

Katherine Whiitaker, an Employment Advisor in Careers, will be there too to help us.

Book a Mock Assessment Centre

Enterprise Rent-a-Car is coming to Mithras House to hold a mock assessment centre on Wednesday 15th January, 11 till 1pm. 

Enterprise Rent-a-Car was voted Graduate Employer of the Year at the 2016 TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment awards – the largest student-driven graduate recruitment awards in Europe.

This is a great opportunity to learn how to succeed at an assessment centre! Feedback on Enterprise’s previous sessions has been very good.
