This series of self-portraits resonated with me on so many levels. It is about the loss of identity and enduring personal journey through depression. The varied landscape acts as a metaphor for life’s many obstacles. Beyond the horizon lies hope for a brighter day.

I am very familiar with what it is like to lose one’s identity and to be on the journey with an enduring partner called disability. Having a disability can bring a great deal of depression but also hope for better days to come. And those days will be displayed in my project.
