[:en]Fashion Odyssey – José Teuissen[:]

[:en]The Fashion Odyssey is a publication that explores the search for new values and practises with the fashion industry. The writing begins by exploring the issue with our consumer habits and how this is causing a huge demand from the fashion industry who they struggle to keep up with. It also highlights that our fashion-chain is inefficient, introducing the digitalisation of logistics to offer new possibilities. Changes which are driven by this realisation that we must be frugal with our present pattern of consumption and make the appropriate improvements/changes where possible.

As well as technological improvements, the idea of slow-fashion is explored and touched upon by Charlotte Corstange within her section of writing, within this publication. She describes the slow approach to fashion turnover as a paradox to the industries equivalent of ‘fast, mass-produced clothing’. A main factor that is argued is that of a garment is what draws us to fashion. If a garment is ugly, yet sustainable then the chances are that individuals will in no way be interested in purchasing it.[:]
