[:en]Fairphone is company that produces a mobile phones, well I say ‘phones’ they have two models, Fairphone 1 and Fairphone 2; Fairphone 1 is shown in Figure 55. The phones are see-through to mirror their ethos of having a see-through supply chain, with no lying or cover ups so customers are 100% sure that their product is made sustainability and fairly. At Fairphone they produce phones very differently to mainstream manufactures. Fairphone believe in fair-trade, demonstrated in figure 53; they also believe in recycling to reduce electronic waste worldwide. Due to the high demand of this phone and not enough resources to keep up with this demand it has resulted in a waiting list; therefore, creating an exclusive club of people owning this phone. With the aim to create a positive impact both socially and environmentally they have worked hard to ensure that all aspects of the phone life cycle keeps within this goal. This idea of a circular economy is what drives this company as they have created a phone that is built to last, in a sense they are the first mobile phone company that have built a phone with repairability in mind. Also within my research I have been leaning towards this idea of a circular economy, as well as, up-cycling and investing in long-lasting clothing so it is interesting that a phone company has got on the sustainability bandwagon. This also leads to the question: What other industries will join the sustainability revolution?

Figure 54 shows the fun and youthful way they advertise their product. The vibrant digital print has taken my interest, it is simple yet is a great way to attract a viewer and provide them with information that is easy to process. The Fairphone Instagram, shown in figure 56, is home to the image seen in figure 54. The youthism in figure 54 goes hand in hand with the idea of instagram in terms of advertisement as it speaks to millennials who are the  biggest users of the social media platform. Millennials are also at the forefront of this change of going green; therefore, highlighting the importance of attracting viewers to your Instagram account.
