Happy 70th birthday to our much-loved NHS! The NHS values are the heart of all our health courses. We recognise that patients come first in everything the NHS does, and respect, dignity, compassion and working together for patients are embedded in our curriculum. We are extremely proud to work closely with our local and regional NHS Trusts as we train the nurses, midwives, paramedics, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, podiatrists and public health professionals of the future.
We are also very excited to announce that our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Debra Humphris, was made a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and named as one of the 70 most influential nurses of the past 70 years during this NHS anniversary week. Congratulations!
The University of Brighton is at the forefront of professional teaching and research in nursing, midwifery, health and social care, health promotion, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry and paramedic practice. The latest cohorts of newly-qualified health professionals will graduate in a couple of weeks at a ceremony at Brighton Dome.
