Japanese Physiotherapy Congress

In May COLIN PATERSON Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy, was invited to Japan to provide a Keynote presentation at the Japanese Physiotherapy Congress in Sapporo. 

This related to his roles with the International Federation of Sports Physical therapy (IFJAPANESE PHYSIOTHERAPY CONGRESSSPT) and being the current chair of the ACPSEM (sports and exercise medicine physio specialty in the UK).

He presented about the international sports physiotherapy competencies, how we use them in the UK and how Japan needs to develop their physio scope of practice in the build up to . He also met with numerous committee members, discussed physio training and developments in Japan which highlighted our advantageous position here in the UK.
