The sessional roles will be delivering important Healthier You programmes in your area, so reaching out to the right people is important to the success of the programme in the South East. Educators roles might suit some NHS bank staff, or those interested or experienced in delivering health education and behaviour change programmes in their community. Full training is provided by Leicester Diabetes Centre.

The Public Health Principal provides specialist public health expertise to Brighton and Hove Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), and supports the wider public health agenda to improve outcomes and reduce health inequalities. The post holder works with the CCG to shape strategic thinking so as to ensure the inclusion of a public health perspective in plans and strategies for NHS commissioned services; and leads on specific work areas relating to protecting or improving health, including quality issues in primary care, cancer and children’s health and wellbeing.

ou should be self motivated and able to further develop initiatives such as Sugar Smart and Healthy Choice Award. You would be required to co-ordinate relevant projects and work with partners to deliver on key programmes.

We are looking for someone who has experience of working in the catering industry and holds a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition or other similar qualification. You should have a strong knowledge of healthy eating and nutrition and current government policy and targets on obesity.

The position is currently offered for a fixed term to end September 2018 on Full-time – 37 hours per week In addition to working in a vibrant city by the sea benefits include, flexible working with the opportunity to work a 9 day fortnight, training & development opportunities.

You’ll help to identify the assets in local communities  (buildings, people and key businesses) and make sure that locality staff are aware of these.
