photoshoot 2 imagery

This particular shoot was all about exploring the notions of comfort and the ideas around seeking comfort within the chaos. To add an additional depth to this concept, I chose to locate this shoot in a chaotic setting (flea market in Kemp Town, Brighton.) I felt it was an appropriate setting as it contributed to the chaos aspect of the shoot whilst also contrasting with the styling. In other words, I decided to wrap the model in a duvet to reflect the element of comfort. To add a further juxtaposition, I added some glamorous, overly glitzy accessories to create an even more exaggerated natural and awkward composition. In other words, accessories you wouldn’t wear in bed!

Overall, I am quite pleased with the outcome, however I do feel there is a clear distinction between the images which I feel worked and the ones which perhaps didn’t. I feel the strongest images are the ones which are close ups. I feel this is because the full body shots do not look chaotic enough. I struggled to style the duvet in a way which looked right. I feel adding more duvets which had made this slightly more successful.
