Typeface Workshop

Today (Tuesday 2nd October) we attended a workshop on typography with an emphasis on exploring the idea of using type to create abstract compositions.

We began the session with a lecture introducing ideas around typeface along with some key figures such as Neville Brody. We then explored the streets of Brighton to put this into practice. In other words, we drew a selection of typefaces from shopfronts. At the end of the day, we then developed these experiments further by selecting quotes and creating a selection of designs.

Above are a selection of my experiments from the day!
