I was inspired by my original research (the scallop) as its associated with the beach. I wanted to continue this location in my work so I decided to visit a couple of beach locations in Suffolk – Aldeburgh and Southwold. All these images feature in my zines. I liked the idea of combining a location with fashion and textiles so I am pleased with the outcome. I feel its relevant to the tactile theme because both the sand and pebbles have tactile and textured qualities. For example, we feel the desire to pick up and play with sand and pebbles but also visually, they look textured as a overall picture.
