•Participants will feel good about themselves because of the challenging nature of a run (want to get fit)

•Friends and family of the participants will sponsor them because it is challenging

•Could be an annual event of which Trekstock can become well known for

•Documentation on social media before and after the run; in order for participants to get sponsors they will have to post on social media, and after the run posts to show the achievement

•The run has a twist: at night and with glow sticks and other glow accessories makes it fun and different to race for life/ tough mudder/ marathons etc

WEAKNESSES

•High costs involved in order to get DJ’s, food vans, portable toilets etc

•Difficult to get a high volume of participants because not many people know what the charity is

OPPORTUNITIES

•Build up following on social media for built up to the event

•Advertise the event using a video which could go viral on Facebook, a video is shareable content

•People will post photos because it will look cool (glowing in the dark)

•The use of a hashtag LIGHTUPTHEDARK

•Festival theme

•Mass warm up – like a party

•Sell food and drinks at the end to stop everyone from leaving

•Sent a pack in the post if people sign up

•Festival theme – get sent a wrist band and ticket for the event and a form to start fundraising
