About
This blog provides timely information on the eLearning provision at the University of Brighton provided by the eLearning team in Information Services.
It is intended as a point of contact for University staff interested in or presently using technology in their teaching or research.
As a publicly accessible web space, it is designed to keep you up-to-date with what is happening with the various technologies utilised for learning within the University.
It will:
- Provide an explanation of available technologies and their use.
- Detail what considerations should be made before using a technology.
- Describe the levels of support available within the University for different technologies.
- Indicate how technologies can be applied appropriately to teaching and learning.
- Highlight new resources, updates and relevant events.
- List other useful sources of information and references.
Use the Technologies and Support menu item to see a full list of available technologies.
Please speak to your Learning Technologies Adviser for more details or to help you decide the tool most appropriate for your use.
We hope that you will contribute your opinions, ideas and experiences as comments in response to postings, to build a shared resource that the academic community within the University can refer to and draw on. Please read the section on making comments in the blog policy.
Please note: Support for specialist software purchased by departments or Schools and standard software provided by Information Services is not covered by this blog (e.g. MS Office, ChemDraw, Nvivo, SPSS). Information on these can be found on the Information Services website or by contacting servicedesk@brighton.ac.uk .
