Blackboard have issued a fix for this error and this has been installed on studentcentral. (Monday 6th October 2014).
A small number of staff have have reported receiving the following error message when clicking to open a particular course or module area on studentcentral that prevents them from accessing the area.
‘HTTP Status 508 – An unrecoverable error loop occurred while displaying the Blackboard Learn error page’
If you experience this issue, it should hopefully clear itself after a period of time and allow you access.
As a workaround, you may be able to gain access to the area if you open up studentcentral in different browser and/or restart your computer.
We are working with Blackboard to resolve this issue and hope to have a fix in place shortly.
