Thursday 23rd of May, 8:30am – 9:30am in Westlain Ground Floor Café Area, Falmer
App Swap Breakfasts are informal get-togethers for staff who own a device/s which supports mobile applications, otherwise known as ‘apps’ (on smartphones, tablets etc.).
Each session has a broad theme, this time it’s ‘Productivity: note taking, annotation, organisation, writing’
We would also like to test a free app for iDevices called, nearpod, it is a presentation and collaboration app for educational use (android users can use the student webapp to participate). If you plan to attend, it would be great if you can install nearpod in advance (although we have wifi in the space, so you can install it on the day as well).
Complimentary continental breakfast provided.
Fiona (Learning Technologies Adviser) and Beth (Assistant Information Adviser for School of Nursing and Midwifery) will be awaiting your company at the former café on the ground floor of Westlain; please come along if you can spare an hour – BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) and BYI (Bring Your Ideas). There’ll be an iPad-iPhone focus but other devices are not discouraged or excluded.
Hope to see you there.
Fiona and Beth
The next App Swap Breakfast will be on Thursday 6th June, same time, same place
