Postgraduate Education Research Conference

The Postgraduate Education Research Conference is an annual event held by the School of Education for students from the Education MA, Guernsey PGCert and EdD programme. The event is also open to final year students from all BA(Hons) and PGCE routes who are interested in further study.

The conference is a celebration of the school’s research community and offers both staff and students the opportunity to come together to share their work, and to support and stimulate each other. Continue reading

The Really Useful PE Book

book-coverTwo University of Brighton academics have published their fourth edited book with Routledge.

Dr Gary Stidder and Sid Hayes have released The Really Useful Physical Education Book: Learning and Teaching across the 11 – 16 age range with contributions from 16 other University of Brighton PE, dance, sport science and sport coaching staff members.

Fully updated in line with the National Curriculum, the second edition of The Really Useful Physical Education Book offers crucial guidance and practical ideas for effective and imaginative lessons. Continue reading

Annual Practical Primary Science Conference: Making Changes

On 18 June the University of Brighton’s School of Education, working in partnership with the Mathematics and Science Learning Centre at the University of Southampton hosted its annual Primary Science Conference.
