Painting the mural on the wall

Inspiration is Everywhere

Two of our art and design trainee teachers visited Angmering School to complete a mural when lockdown restrictions were eased.

Caitlin Wood and Polly Baker were invited by Head of Department, Sam Hobbs, to complete the mural having spent a day there working one-to-one with sixth form students earlier in the year. Sam also tutors on our Secondary Art and Design PGCE so is well known to the students.

The ‘Inspiration is Everywhere’ mural took two days complete and is brightening up the corridors of the school’s art department.

painting the muralSam said: “They have done an amazing job. It was lovely to spend time with them both and I am thrilled with how quickly and efficiently they completed the mural. Absolutely brilliant!”

Polly said: “We had a connection to the school as had previously helped A-Level students with their work. It was great to get involved with some large-scale work while the corridors were empty.”

Caitlin said: “Sam has worked with us on many occasions at university, so it was great to see the department she runs at Angmering. It was a great experience to get back into a school and be able to contribute in such a positive way. “
