Three Little ECHO grants awarded for 2017-18

Three Little ECHO grants have been awarded for the academic year 2017-2018 to students of the School of Sport and Service Management.

Following the submission of short films to the Social Partnerships Advisory Group, who administer the grants, four students heard the good news that they would all receive £250 to fund their small projects.

The little ECHO grants are funded by the generous donations of SASM alumni, and are awarded to students who would like to be involved in an extra-curricular activity which address one of three key themes: Promoting Excellence, Supporting the Community and Preserving the School’s Heritage.

Little ECHO grants for student-led project were awarded to

Anett Poscai  (Sport Science year 2) for training a team to participate in a Tough Mudder event for POTS charity

Ina Peglow  (International Hospitality Management year 3) for a group of students to participate in the Passion 4 Hospitality student debating event.

Kyle Wicks (MA Sport & International Development) for a monitoring and evaluation project linked to Football 4 Peace

The four applications can been seen on the blog by following this link and the successful projects will be reported on before the end of the academic year.
