**CLOSING DATE EXTENDED TO 24 NOVEMBER**
Would you like a little cash to give your extracurricular activity a boost or a more professional feel? Have you been thinking about hosting an event for fellow students or a community group? If you have, then a Little ECHO grant might be the answer.
Students of the School of Sport and Service Management are invited to enter an online short film competition to receive a Little ECHO grant, worth up to £250.
Fiona Smith, Principal Lecturer and Head of the Social Engagement Advisory Group, says “we hope that a small cash boost from Little ECHO grants will encourage students to make their ideas for small projects and activities happen- the scheme was a great success last year!”.
ECHO grants are awarded by the school to those involved in work that promotes excellence, supports the community or helps to preserve the school’s heritage archive. Grants are funded by the generous donations of alumni and friends and an allocation of funds set aside by the school.
To be in with a chance to be awarded up to £250 students are asked to make a 1-3 minute short film about their proposed project or activity. Films will be made available to watch on the ECHO blog in November, and everyone can participate in a 7-day vote for their favourite.
