Nintendo online market environment analysis

Nintendo was founded in 1889 by Fusajiro. It is a Japanses  Multinational National Corporation and one of the largest video gaming company globally

Nintendo’s website displays all their products. On desktop and mobile website, in the last six months, Nintendo has 56,900,000m total visists on their website. The purpose of the website is for demosntrate their products(games and consules) and enagage with customers. They recently partnered with Cuker to create interactive digital ads to capture the attention and engage with digital customers.

Macro-environment

The website must influence the culture of people but also need to attract and satisfy consumer needs

The company needs to make sure they ask the users for their permissions and must comply with GDPR. Additionally, there is legal ownership and legal property which the company must consider

 

Micro-environment

The main competitors of Nintendo are Sony and Microsoft. In fact, Sony has about 70% share in the market with Nintendo and Microsoft

The customers love to play video games. The average gamer is 35 years old and has been playing for 13 years. There is a diverse segment of gamers: students, employees, seniors mothers and father. Those segments helped to drive the gaming industry, thus Nintendo must make sure they retain their customers and build relationships with customers
