Second year Architectural Technology students have just finished a successful intensive learning week during their first semester activity week.
Their task was to choose a part of their design for a deployable light structure for temporary exhibition and entertainment purposes, and detail the architectural structure of it (examples are shown in the image). They learnt how to use Solid Works and were given the option of printing their model using 3D printing and rapid prototyping in the advanced engineering building, with help from our technical support staff (especially Daniel Brookes).
The week proved to be a challenge but the results show that it was worth every effort. Well done to all to our level 5 Architectural Technology students!
