Work experience opportunity – Hemsley Orrell Partnership
We are pleased to confirm that a number of work experience places have been secured with local companies, including consulting engineers, contractors and other agencies, as part of a scheme offered in collaboration with Hemsley Orrell Partnership (HOP).
This exciting new opportunity will offer the experience to work in different teams (from building structures and roads, to drainage and underwater engineering) and will start developing your practical skills and knowledge. Whilst this will not be a paid position, the experience will be invaluable!
Students on all our civil engineering MEng (integrated masters) courses can apply for the chance to benefit from this opportunity. For further information on how to apply please contact Dr. Andreas Lampropoulos, Senior Lecturer in Civil Engineering by email A.Lampropoulos@brighton.ac.uk.
HOP Consulting Engineers was founded in 1985 by two University of Brighton graduates and has since grown to be a successful Consulting Engineering practice, offering expertise in the fields of Building, Structural, Environmental and Civil Engineering. As the chair of our Industrial Advisory Board, HOP also advises on our course content and helps provide opportunities such as site visits to local projects including the British Airways i360 and Brighton Marina.
Recent HOP projects include the AMEX Community Stadium, the University Technical College at Newhaven and much of the New England Quarter around Brighton station. Current on-going projects include many Thameside developments in London and the expansion of the Port of Newhaven to service the new Rampion Offshore Windfarm.
