General panels

These panels are available in a variety of layouts, mostly with and without headings.

  • Full width
  • Two column
  • Three column (which is actually 2 columns and then 1 column – referred to in the template names as 2 thirds 1 third, and a complimentary 1 third 2 thirds panel for doing fancy layouts)
  • Tabbed panel (that allows you to specify a number of tabs to run along one panel)
  • Blockquote (pull-quote)  and pull-stat panels – available with and without attribution.

Here is an example of a general two column panel with a heading

which is also available without a heading.

Tabbed panel

The tabbed panel comes with and without an intro. Here’s the empty panel with an intro. You type in your heading (applying a heading style), type in the intro copy, then drag the tabs you want where it says ‘Drag tab templates here’.

Blockquote (pull-quote) and pull-stat panels

Blockquotes also appear in the general-panels folder. As the name suggests, this is a layout block for quotes, both with and without attributes.

Simply drag the panel into the page and insert the copy. As the name suggests this is a full-width panel and shouldn’t be used inside another tab or panel. Here is one with the attribution beneath the quote.

If you wish to use a quote style in a smaller area, see how to apply a quote style on the Editing text page.

Pull-stat panel

There is also a pull-stat panel option, which is the same as the pull-quote but without the quote graphic. This is also a full-width style and is generally only used on course pages.
