A synthetic organic chemistry technician position is available to work with Prof. Richard Whitby and Prof. Malcolm Levitt on A Multidisciplinary Research Platform for Nuclear Spins far from Equilibrium.

You will be developing large scale synthetic routes to target organic molecules required by the project. The work is synthetically challenging, for example involving fullerenes and isotopically labelled materials, and will involve developing new chemistry. You will be working alongside postgraduate and postdoctoral colleagues with extensive experience in the area, and who will provide full training. You will work as part of the team to ensure that materials of the required quantity and purity are produced on the timeframe needed for the physical investigations.
