The Wood Awards: Excellence in British Architecture and Product Design 2017
Founded in 1971, the Wood Awards aim to recognise and promote outstanding design, craftsmanship and installation using wood in architecture and product design. Shortlisted entries will be announced in July. All those involved in a shortlisted project will be invited to attend the Wood Awards ceremony in London on 21 November 2017. Shortlisted projects will be on display at the ceremony, in addition to an exhibition during the London Design Festival in September 2017.

Call for Artists – Worthing Light Festival
Applications are invited for the Worthing Light Festival in September 2017. The festival  is an exhibition of stunning, sustainable art installations that light up on Worthing beach. Applications are open to amateur and professional artists/ makers/ designers who work in any medium suitable for exhibiting outdoors. Cash prizes are available.

Artist in Residence September 2017 – July 2018
The residency is based at Christ’s Hospital in West Sussex,  a co-educational boarding school and charitable foundation. The school is looking for a versatile artist or graduate to join their art department. The residency would suit a practising artist with a range of creative skills and an interest in teaching. Experience of working with children is preferred, but not essential to the role.

Research & Development Mentoring Grants for Emerging Disabled Artists
UK-based emerging disabled artists are invited to apply for one of four £1000 Research and Development Grants offered by NDACA (the National Disability Arts Collection and Archive). NDACA is the Disability Arts Movement heritage project delivered by Shape Arts. The grants include mentoring by a key artist involved in the ‘Golden Age’ of the Disability Arts Movement. Applications are accepted from artists working in any art form.
