SUCCESSFUL SBL STUDENT CAMPAIGNS
Did you know that SBL students successfully campaigned for:
- the inter-campus shuttle bus
- the removal of the minimum £3 spend via debit card
- earlier publication by 2 weeks and hopefully sooner next academic of exam timetables
CURRICULUM, ASSESSMENT & FEEDBACK
Did you know that SBL…..?
- is developing its curriculum to become greener and to support responsible enterprise – including 100% electronic submissions (not all schools do this).
- has new staff subject groups to develop modules
- there is continued focus on assessment and feedback
- 90% of assessment details were made available at the beginning of term
- the majority of assessments now include marking criteria

- ranks nearly 10% higher than comparable universities for providing helpful information and advice
- working with students to pilot a gamification strategy to boost student engagement
- is leading a project to introduce a swipe card system for recording student attendance
- has a ‘Well-Being Cupboard’ for students in the canteen (by the microwave)
- runs a Student blog
- includes details of your Personal Academic Tutor on your Personal tab (studentcentral)
- has a dedicated student-friendly UG office and SSGT to help with your questions
- has partnered with Sport Brighton to offer dedicated session for BBS students
