Gray’s Inn Advocacy Open Day, Register Now!

The Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn is opening it’s doors for an advocacy day on Saturday 21st October between 3pm and 7.30pm!

The event is open to students interested in a career at the Bar and will comprise of talks on advocacy, scholarships, the role of the Inns, and also offer you an opportunity to observe students being taught advocacy and ethics.

The event will end with a reception hosted by The Treasurer of Gray’s Inn, Lady Hale who is the Deputy President of the Supreme Court and to which many pupil barristers, barristers and judges will be invited.

It is an ideal opportunity for you to learn more about the profession, observe advocacy and ethics training and to meet barristers and judges who can build your understanding of careers at the Bar.

The programme for the day is as follows:

3pm – Introduction from the Master of Students, Ali Bajwa QC and talks from the Director of Education and Master of Scholarships

3.30pm – Talks on Advocacy from Michael Fordham QC of Blackstone Chambers & Master of the Bench of Gray’s Inn

4.15pm – (Observe) Advocacy and ethics training with barristers such as:

6.30pm – Reception in Hall hosted by The Treasurer, Lady Hale (Deputy President of the Supreme Court)
